Enjoy What's Left of Winter

All Natural Winter Skin Care ~ Prevent Chapped Skin from Cold and Windburn.

As Canadians, we have extremely long winters and as they say, “If you can’t beat em, join em”.  I say we need to embrace what we have and try to get outside as much as possible. Although I am not a skier, I certainly feel super refreshed after a winter walk or jog.

Does Chapped Skin Keep You Indoors? How do you protect your skin from the harsh elements?

Outdoors is good for the soul, but not for your skin.  We must protect our skin from the elements, especially in the winter.  We seem to be very careful in the summer (using sunscreen), but not as much in the winter.  Skiers, Joggers, kids tobogganing and ice skaters, it is time to cover up your skin. The wind, colder temperatures and less humidity take the moisture from your skin.  Our skin can become dry, dull, pale and even cracked.

Tight clothes + cold = chafing.

Avoid cotton clothing. Choose apparel with “technical" materials, which pull sweat and moisture away from your skin. These help to prevent chafing and irritation. However, we cannot cover our face so choose natural solutions whenever possible.

To prevent Chapped and Wind burned Skin Lotus Natural Living recommends:  all natural protection & relief ~ “Chapped Apples or Windburn Balm” Chapped Apples and Windburn Balm
